Phoenix, AZ, May 2 – Electrical contractor Canyon State Electric has promoted two team members to Project Manager. Branden Ruehl and John Ridgley served as Assistant Project Managers before their promotions in the first quarter of this year.

Ruehl has been with CSE for over seven years, starting in the field as an electrician helper. As he became more experienced, he moved to work as a delivery driver and prefabrication electrician. Branden moved to the office to fill a purchasing role, then transferred to project management as an assistant project manager.

“The construction industry is always booming, especially in Phoenix,” said Ruehl. “Canyon State Electric has given me the tools and opportunities to learn and grow from the beginning. I’m excited to further my career in the electrical field and serve our clients.”

Robert Hughes, Canyon State Electric President, said, “It’s been very rewarding watching Branden’s career here at CSE. From the field to the office, we’ve always been impressed with Branden and his willingness to go the extra mile. I’m excited to see how he continues to grow and lead in his new position.”

Ridgley is a veteran who served in the army for seven years. After being discharged, he attended Arizona State University and, upon graduation, became a warehouse manager. He attained his first project management role at another company and joined Canyon State Electric in 2022 as an Assistant Project Manager to gain more experience with larger projects.

“I had a mentor who showed me the detailed processes and skill required to perform as a project manager,” said Ridgley. “CSE has provided many opportunities for growth as I worked on multifamily dwellings, healthcare facilities, hotels, data centers, industrial material processing plants, and food processing plants. I look forward to honing my skills, meeting the challenges of the role, and building projects that will last for generations.”

Hughes said, “John has been quick to learn and get out of his comfort zone ever since he came on board. He’s very goal-oriented, and we know whenever he sets his sights on something, he’ll accomplish it. I look forward to seeing John’s future achievements and how he will take us to the next level.”
