Canyon State Electric Kicks off Annual Holiday LEGO Drive Nov. 3

Phoenix, AZ, November 3 – Canyon State Electric (CSE) is collecting LEGO sets throughout November and December to benefit children suffering from illness. CSE’s LEGO Drive is returning for a fourth year, and sets collected in 2025 are benefiting Phoenix Children’s for their Holiday Toy Drive.

The LEGO Drive began in 2021 after the passing of Canyon State Electric founder Steve Maderazzo. He famously loved building with LEGO and created many structures, including a replica of the CSE office building. The Canyon State Electric team pays tribute to his legacy with generosity, donating LEGO sets to children in need of toys each December.

“The LEGO Drive lets us honor our past while giving children hope for the future,” said CEO Stephanie Maderazzo-Hughes. “I’m inspired every year by the way our CSE team and industry partners show overwhelming support and generosity.”

In 2024, the LEGO Drive collected over 315 sets, exceeding its 300-set goal; this year, the company hopes to raise over 400 sets. Sets of all sizes, prices, and age requirements are accepted. All toys collected will be donated to Phoenix Children’s and given to children receiving inpatient care.

“We are grateful to partners like Canyon State Electric who generously give to Phoenix Children’s,” said Tim Harrison, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Special Events. “LEGO sets don’t just lift a child’s spirits for a moment, but working on them can take their mind off of more difficult things, while igniting creativity and learning-through-play.”

This year, CSE’s LEGO Drive is supported by several companies in the valley, including Commercial West Insurance, Danson Construction, Deutsch Architecture Group, Fleming West, and Gray Construction, which are hosting LEGO drop-off bins at their offices.

The LEGO Drive runs through November until December 15. To donate, purchase from the LEGO Drive Amazon wishlist (tinyurl.com/CSE-LEGO-Drive-2025), bring a LEGO set to Canyon State Electric’s office at 1618 S Priest Dr., #101, Tempe, AZ 85281., drop off a set at one of CSE’s partner drop-off locations located around the Valley (map below) or email legodrive@cseci.com to schedule a pickup.
